The Full Story
Brad has been in the finance industry since leaving sixth form over 12 years ago. Having been selected as part of the RBS Accelerate Scheme Cohort, he progressed through the Bank before making the switch to one of the largest asset finance brokers in the UK where he defined his trade.
Having always wanted his own business, he took the plunge in Jan 2023 to go by himself and formed Penumbra Business Finance shortly after. He predominantly works in the asset finance space in industries such as Haulage, Civil Engineering and Construction.
Out of work, he is a season ticket holder at Leeds United, enjoys spending time with his two children watching them grow up (to fast!), holidaying and going out with friends

Penumbra Business Finance is a UK-wide Business Finance Brokerage formed by Brad Garside and Sam German.
We offer a wide range of finance services to the UK SME marketplace, with access to over 100+ funding partners.
Sam has worked in the Asset Finance Industry for over 5 years, building up a strong relationship in the waste & recycling / concrete sector with both customers and suppliers.
Before this Sam worked for a large bakery manufacture of which he has transitioned to the asset finance world with great knowledge in Manufacturing / Haulage.
Sam doesn’t switch off but when he tries to it usually involves a fair few beers with friends or watching his beloved Stockport County.
